Case Study on Business Reforms to Improve Labor Efficiency
In the midst of the strict application of the Labor Standards Law's limit on extended working hours to businesses that had been exempt from the law, we supported the formulation of a three-year improvement target and a plan to improve labor efficiency in order to both "correct long working hours" and "improve labor efficiency in factories". As a similar case study, we conducted a field interview survey with a business in Australia.

A review of the human resource system with a plan to improve profitability amidst the rapidly increasing severity of the local business environment in the countries where they operate. We restructured the personnel system for local employees, focusing on the central issues of stimulating and improving motivation to take on new challenges, reducing the turnover of talented personnel, and accelerating the promotion of human resources.

Strengthening the internal control systems of overseas subsidiaries in China, Thailand and the U.S.
Strengthen internal control systems of overseas subsidiaries in preparation for IPO. Developed and clarified the internal control systems at major locations with a view to horizontal expansion to other locations. In order to enhance the effectiveness of the controls, we stationed staff at the target overseas subsidiaries and conducted reviews based on the actual conditions of local business and operations and the policies of the head office in Japan.

Formulated a medium-term management plan for a global machinery manufacturing company. The plan included a shift in strategic focus for the domestic business to mold production utilizing overseas procurement functions in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, a return to profitability for the Indonesian business by reviewing its break-even point, and withdrawal from the injection molding business in Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

The company was experiencing a variety of problems, including production problems, low employee retention, and inaccurate management figures. Group reorganization and integration support for a local subsidiary in Thailand
Support for restructuring and integration of an overseas subsidiary. The integration was planned to improve operational efficiency. Through a project consisting of Japanese and Thai staffs, we formed various agreements and developed a master plan for the integration. We involved the local staff in the project, shared the issue recognition and tasks, and created a company-wide momentum for the integration.

Assisted in the development of a business plan for an acquired company in Singapore in order to achieve business growth and synergies. We worked with the management team of the acquired company to develop a business model that leveraged the expertise of the parent company in Japan. Conducted a survey on the possibility of entering the Asian market, focusing on user needs and including legal regulations, etc. We interviewed users and government authorities during our one-month stay in the region, and found that Japanese quality and high unit price services would be difficult to accept in the markets of the countries when entered. Then we presented the overseas development measures and business models through localization.
